About Nirvanis Indian Kitchen
A Legacy of Flavor Since 2008
Founded on June 28th, 2008, Nirvanis Indian Kitchen is more than just a restaurant—it’s a story of passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to redefining Indian cuisine in New Jersey. Niraj Jivani, the owner & founder of Nirvanis started working at Sultan Wok 3 in Englishtown NJ at the age of 13, which later transformed into a culinary journey that led to the birth of Nirvanis. At the age of 22, from humble beginnings to what turned into an overnight success from day 1, our first location in New Brunswick saw lines out the door, a testament to the irresistible flavors we bring to the table. We now have a second location in Somerset NJ that we opened in 2023 which offers a parking lot.

One of our most significant contributions occurred during the COVID-19 lockdown, when we donated over $35,000 worth of food to RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick, St. Peter’s University Hospital, and several local police departments.
